Helmet Peak Fire Department is powered entirely by dedicated community volunteers. Every member gives their time, training, and commitment to keep our neighbors safe.
Responsible for overall department operations, strategic planning, and community liaison. Elected by the fire board and accountable to the residents of the San Xavier/Sahuarita area.
Supports the Fire Chief in day-to-day operations, training coordination, and incident command during major emergency responses.
Leads on-scene operations during emergency responses, supervises crew members, and ensures adherence to safety protocols and department standards.
Our volunteer firefighters are the backbone of HPFD. They respond to fire, rescue, and medical emergencies, maintaining certifications through ongoing training and fire academies.
Certified Emergency Medical Technicians and Certified Emergency Paramedics provide critical pre-hospital care, stabilizing patients until transport units arrive.
HPFD is governed by a 3-member fire board elected by the community. Board members provide oversight, financial stewardship, and policy direction for the department.
Every member of Helmet Peak Fire Department is a volunteer. Our personnel hold full-time jobs, raise families, and still show up — day or night — to protect their neighbors. That commitment is what makes HPFD extraordinary.
HPFD is a 501(c)3 non-profit governed by a 3-member fire board elected by the community. We are a member in good standing with the Arizona Corporation Commission.
We are always looking for volunteer Firefighters, EMTs, and CEPs. No experience necessary — we'll train you through our Fire Academy program. Come serve your community.
